The Cuban Institute
of Radio and Television (ICRT, by its initials
in Spanish) announces the IV edition of
the Cuba 2019 International Convention of Radio and Television, to be held from
October 8 to 11, 2019 at the Plaza América Convention Center in Varadero.
In a world marked by globalization, where corporations in the media and
entertainment industry condition the representation and homogeneous consumption
of the symbols of the capitalist system, respect for identities and the defense
of diversity are increasingly necessary.
In its scientific program, this fourth edition, dedicated to the 60th
anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, invites us to reflect on
culture, peace and sustainable development in public Radio and Television, as
essences to defend a multipolar, inclusive and sovereign vision that
contributes to strengthen an anti-hegemonic stance from the media.
Lectures, workshops and other activities will be present in the scientific
program, addressing topics related to radio and television, among which is
included the Meeting of the World Network of Broadcasters and Channels in
defense of Humanity.
The event retakes the exhibitions, sales and free presentations at the
Expo-International Fair, with the essential purpose of building a common space
of interest for the participants who work for the radio and television media.
The encouragement of the participation of filmmakers through the awarding of
the best achieved works from the point of view of their ethical and aesthetic
values, is also the purpose of the Convention, for which this edition calls to
the Alberto Luberta Noy Cuba-2019 Competition.
The presence of a
growing number of participants from different geographical areas in previous
Radio and Television events in our country ensures that the Convention promises
to be again an essential space that will contribute increasingly to the
dialogue among all those who accompany us in the search for new routes in the
work of Public Radio and Television.

L’Institut cubain de radio et de télévision (ICRT, par ses initiales en espagnol) annonce la quatrième édition de la Convention internationale de radio et de télévision «Cuba 2019», qui se tiendra du 8 au 11 octobre 2019 au centre de conventions Plaza América de Varadero.
Dans un monde marqué par la mondialisation, où les entreprises du secteur des médias et du divertissement conditionnent la représentation et la consommation homogène des symboles du système capitaliste, le respect des identités et la défense de la diversité sont de plus en plus nécessaires.
Dans son programme scientifique, cette quatrième édition, consacrée au 60e anniversaire du triomphe de la révolution cubaine, nous invite à réfléchir à la culture, à la paix et au développement durable de la radio et de la télévision publiques, éléments essentiels pour défendre une vision multipolaire, y compris et souveraine. cela contribue à renforcer la position anti-hégémonique des médias.
Des conférences, des ateliers et d’autres activités seront présents dans le programme scientifique, abordant des sujets liés à la radio et à la télévision, notamment la Réunion du Réseau mondial des radiodiffuseurs et chaînes pour la défense de l’humanité.
L'événement reprend les expositions, les ventes et les présentations gratuites du salon Expo-International, dans le but essentiel de créer un espace d'intérêt commun pour les participants qui travaillent pour les médias de radio et de télévision.
Encourager la participation des cinéastes en récompensant les œuvres les plus abouties du point de vue de leurs valeurs éthiques et esthétiques est également l’objet de la Convention, pour laquelle cette édition fait appel au Concours Alberto Luberta Noy Cuba-2019.
La présence d’un nombre croissant de participants de différentes régions lors d’événements précédents de la radio et de la télévision dans notre pays fait de la Convention un nouvel espace essentiel qui contribuera de plus en plus au dialogue entre tous ceux qui nous accompagnent dans la recherche de nouveaux itinéraires dans l’œuvre de la radio et de la télévision publiques.
